Perched at an altitude of 1,274 meters, Wengen embodies the charm of a traditional Swiss mountain resort, radiating historic character and a nostalgic atmosphere. This almost traffic-free village in the Bernese Oberland is accessible only by a cog railway that has been winding its way up the mountain since 1892. Set on a sunny, southwest-facing plateau, Wengen offers some of the most breathtaking views in the Alps, with panoramic vistas over the Lauterbrunnen Valley and the surrounding Jungfrau mountain range.
